Sieve analysis calculator: D10, D30, D60, Cu, Cc
Type the mass retained on each sieve. The percentage passing, the grading curve, D10, D30 and D60, the coefficients of uniformity and curvature and the grading (USCS) are worked out for you.
Works in metric or imperial units.

Questions students ask
How do you calculate the coefficient of uniformity?
Cu = D60 / D10, where D60 and D10 are the sizes that 60% and 10% of the soil passes.
When is a soil well graded?
In the USCS, a gravel with Cu ≥ 4 and a sand with Cu ≥ 6, both with 1 ≤ Cc ≤ 3, where Cc = D30² / (D10 × D60).
