Welcome to StudyAI! StudyAI is operated by JengaCost Software and Construction Solutions, a business registered in Kenya (registration number BN-L3SMR2JE) ("StudyAI", "we", "us" or "our"). By accessing or using our website, mobile application, and services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using StudyAI, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StudyAI provides an AI-powered study assistant that generates personalized study plans, notes, quizzes, and answers questions based on user-uploaded materials. We offer both free and paid subscription plans.

3. User Accounts

  • Registration: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Paid Plans: Certain features of the Service are available only with a paid subscription.
  • Billing: By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fee on a recurring basis.
  • Changes: We reserve the right to change our subscription fees at any time with reasonable notice.
  • Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

4a. Payments and resellers

Payments are processed by our payment partners. Where an order is processed by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ), FastSpring or Paddle.com, that company is the Merchant of Record and authorised reseller for that order: it sells the subscription to you, handles the payment, applicable sales taxes, invoices and payment-related customer service, and its own buyer terms also apply. Its name may appear on your card statement. Where an order is processed by Paystack, the charge is made in Kenyan shillings and your bank may convert it into your own currency.

4b. Academic integrity

StudyAI is a learning tool. It helps you understand material, practise and get feedback; it is not a service for producing work to submit as your own. You are responsible for following your school's or university's rules on the use of AI, and you must not submit AI-generated content where those rules forbid it. Our coursework tools are designed to give feedback and ask questions rather than write assignments for you.

5. AI Disclaimer

Important: The study materials, plans, notes, and answers generated by StudyAI are created by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI can make mistakes. You should always verify critical information with your official course materials.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall StudyAI be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. This does not take away any consumer rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.
