Research question

Is there one central, focused question? Is it answerable with the method and time available, rather than a topic or a yes/no?

Problem & rationale

Is the problem clear? Why does it matter, to whom, and what gap does it address?

Aim & objectives

Does each objective serve the aim? Are objectives specific and achievable outcomes, not a list of tasks? Do they, together, answer the question?

Scope & feasibility

Are the boundaries stated — population, place, period? Can it be done by the deadline, within the word count, with the access to people, data and resources the student really has?

Literature & framework

Is the project positioned in existing work, with a theory or conceptual framework where the level expects one?

Methodology

Does the research design fit the question? Is the choice (qualitative, quantitative, mixed, desk-based, experimental) justified rather than assumed?

Sampling & data

Who or what is studied, how many, how selected, and with what instruments? Is the sample appropriate for the claims intended?

Analysis plan

Is it clear how the data for each objective will be analysed?

Ethics & risk

Consent, confidentiality, minors or vulnerable groups, approvals needed, and risks to participants or to completing the project.

Limitations & contribution

Does the student know what the study cannot show, and what it will add?
