Why does it ask for my rubric?

Because that is how you are marked. Each rubric criterion is rated against your draft, with its weighting, so you can see where the marks are and where you are losing them. No rubric? It uses what your type of work is normally marked on.

Is there a free version?

Yes — one free check a month: a full breakdown of your brief, or a first look at a draft review. Pro and Pro Plus give you regular reviews against your rubric.

Can I upload my draft?

Yes: PDF, Word (.docx), text files or a photo. Scanned pages are read automatically. You can upload the brief and the rubric the same way.

Does it make up references?

It is instructed never to invent sources, quotes or statistics. When your evidence is thin, it tells you what kind of source to look for.
